The hexagon is considered a powerful symbol in many cultures due to its perfect symmetry and balance. It is believed to represent the harmony between the material and spiritual realms. Furthermore, the hexagon is often associated with the concept of transformation. In Christian iconography, the hexagonal shape is reminiscent of a casket, a small pointed boat-like structure in which to depart from this life and journey toward the New Jerusalem. It symbolizes the burial of the old sinful self.
